MFS/Pirate4x4 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers Top 5 Essay Vote

You, the Pirate users, get to vote who will be the driver of Camo's Buggy #4407 in the 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers! In the original contest we had listed voting to begin January 1st 2010 and end February 1st 2010. We believe that this may leave the potential driver to little time to get time off work and make arrangements. So....VOTING WILL BEGIN TODAY! Voting will end January 25th giving the driver two weeks to make arrangements. As a reminder here is what's at stake:

The winner will be the driver of Camo's Buggy #4407 and have the full race support of MFS in the 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers. Lodging will be provided for the driver.

The winner will need to show up on the lake bed February 7th 2010 and be able to stay the entire week through February 13th 2010. The winner needs to bring their helmet and driving suit and any other safety equipment they should require. Bob Roggy will be the co-driver/navigator. The winner should be ready for the experience of a lifetime!

On a serious note, thanks again to Camo and MFS for the chance here - none of us deserve this opportunity, but one of us will get it anyway! Congratulations to the top 5, looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

FWIW, my vote is for HeavyMetalXJ, because he really went above and beyond in my opinion by making a video - sold himself well. RockinRubi comes in as CLOSE second...

edit: thought I would mention - I chose Heavy based on creativity and thought he did a great job on the video. However, after voting, I can't say I wouldn't vote for RockinRubi if I could do it over. She fulfilled the criteria of the essay contest better imo: "Why YOU should be driver of MFS buggy." Also, and I don't necessarily think this is a good reason to vote for someone, since contest lies in the essay - but she has more experience at the Hammers and would probably do better learning to drive a new rig there? Just thought I'd mention...

HeavyMetalXJ runs HeavyMetalConcepts they created the RCQ video that's for sale. The RCQ video and his entry video are both great videos by a professional videographer. So of course his video is going to be the best video.

He's still not a professional driver and doesn't have a professional rig, so all is fair in love and essay contests. Nothing was mentioned that you couldn't use your skills at hand. What if he had been an english teacher, should he have been disqualified for that?
